About Us
SEWSCDHH has been serving clients in South Eastern Washington since 1995. We pride ourselves on working with qualified, experienced interpreters who are approved through the state background check system and are current members of RID, the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. We take the time to get to know your organization or business as well as the clients you work with to ensure a successful appointment with our contracted interpreters.
How to request an interpreter
You can request an interpreter through our agency in one of many ways:
1. Print out the request form, fill in the information and fax or email it back to us.
2. Call our office and we can fax you a request form to fill out and send back.
3. If an interpreter is needed within 48 hours, call our Emergency Interpreter Line at (509)205-2284.

ADA about Interpreting
The ADA is a wide-ranging civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on disability.
Title II of the ADA forbids discrimination by public entities. Government agencies, courts, schools, social services agencies, recreational areas, and other departments are just a few examples of who falls under Title II of the ADA.
Title III prohibits discrimination by areas or groups that provide public accommodations. Places like hotels, restaurants, doctor’s offices, hospitals, banks, stores, and other public places fall under Title III of the ADA.
These two titles protect the right to have auxiliary aids or other services provided to ensure effective communication. Tax breaks or incentives are available to those who provide accommodation, so be sure to learn more about this:
